Neder-Keller in Forchheim

Very nice beer garden outside, but unfortunately the food from the buffet was disappointing.

One of the best cellars during the Anna Festival thanks to almost always good music.

Very tasty food, good beer. Small point of criticism: no handicapped accessible toilet.

We were on a tour in the Kellerwald in Forchheim. Of the beer gardens and cellars that we tried that day, the Neder-Keller was the best. You can stay here very well, the service was very friendly. We only wanted something to eat in between. The currywurst for men was recommended and it was really, really good.

The waitress a short haired was a nightmare .. she treated the girls from service very badly and taught us why you can't get a salad .. Hey Keller such a waitress as today does not fit your cellar beer garden, it should be fired ..

The landlord should think about what staff he hires in the service. We wanted to order food because the service staff from Hungary says it takes about 40 minutes. Ok, we thought you can sit down. But what she pushed behind as an explanation is simply a cheek! She explained that they are understaffed and that the Germans are too lazy to do this job. You can not bring that in the service even if the beer was very tasty we will not visit the cellar again so quickly

Annafest ?

In this keller, Neder AnnaFestbier from the local NEDER brewery is on tap. In addition to the festive beer tapped in stoneware, they also have black Schwarze Anna beer and Weisse Anna wheat beer tapped into 0.5 l glass. Keller is open all year (High season) (NOT ONLY during Annafest).

During the Annafest the staff at the street bar was not to be surpassed in arrogance. At first sip only foam. Complained at the stand. It claims it was full. And then they laughed at us decently. The colleague after me also had no chance to get a full beer. For 9 €, outside Munich and in moderate operation you can expect that.

I've not eaten at the Neder Keller but it's a great spot for people watching when at the Annafest. You have a great vantage point looking down and the best part is they have Schwarze Anna on tap, and sell it in half-liter mugs. This has to be the best beer at the fest and since you can get it halves, it stays colder, too.

If You haven't been, GO ! BRILLIANT what an amazing experience. The beer is great, atmosphere is awesome, from the very young and old with everything inbetween. The location in the forest makes it really special, the people were so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back next year ! Highly recommended.

Annafest ... the beer was great

So today was a real letdown! Eternal waiting times, stale beer, bad food. The picture below shows a black border cut from our order. Something like this is definitely not worth the money, I didn't want to write about the so-called "Sauerbraten". We were there before 12h and we could have stayed the same at 3am for coffee. But we didn't want to do THAT to ourselves.
